The 8% Club: Master Your 2025 Goals

Did you know that only about 8% of people who set New Year’s goals actually achieve them? Surprising? Honestly, it tracks. So many people go all-in on these massive, all-or-nothing goals without thinking about the daily habits needed to sustain them. Burnout sneaks in, and the next thing you know, that goal feels SO 2024.

Here’s my challenge to you: before New Year’s Eve, take a moment to think about the kind of person you want to become in 2025. What habits and routines does that version of you have? The secret to reaching your goals isn’t in obsessing over the outcome but in creating sustainable systems to get there.

Let me get in the trenches here. If you’re in college and your goal is to get straight A’s, don’t just focus on the grades. Think about the habits of someone who achieves that: consistent study sessions, good sleep, a balanced diet, and time management. Instead of cramming last minute or skipping assignments, commit to small, manageable changes—like studying for 90 minutes daily with regular breaks. That’s how you set yourself up for success.

It’s easy to get hyped about a fresh start (YES, I want an exclusive Planet Fitness BLACK CARD) but what happens in February? Most enthusiasm fizzles when motivation wanes, that or free pizza at a gym becomes questionable. The trick? Show up even when it’s not easy. That’s the true test of character and commitment.

Here’s what I want for you: to lock in on your 2025 goals and actually enjoy the process. You’re not alone - this is a community! Send me your New Year’s goals, and if you want, include the habits or routines you’re planning to change. I’ll be happy to offer suggestions or feedback.

Get excited—it’s going to be a fantastic year. With that said, let’s also get intentional. The life you want is yours to create, one habit at a time.
